Manda Lane Scraps

Howdy all! I’m Amanda, better known as Manda of Manda Lane Scraps.

I live in Arkansas with my dear sweet hubby, Jeff, our two boys, Peyton and Noah, and our two dogs, Kaylie and Scooter. Besides digiscrap, I love reading, cooking, crocheting, sewing, and gaming. I love grammar and learning new languages and am a several genre nerd. My faith is very important to me. I’m very involved in my church and love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I started digi scrapping in December of 2009 when my sister in law, Christie (of Scrappin’ Serenity) introduced me as she was beginning her design career. I was hooked! No more mess, glue, lugging tons of stuff around, and not liking the end result? Perfect! My first layout was amazing – well, not really, but I learned so much over the years and love to keep trying out new things (especially since I have my handy dandy “undo” key, lol).

After scrapping for a few months and joining in different challenges, I decided to try the Stuff to Scrap February blog train (French Tulips – can you believe I remember that?) and it was pretty funny. The next month, Spring Picnic, was a lot better with some gentle help. Sometimes I look back at those early days and just laugh at how far I’ve come through learning and the mentoring of friends. I’ve been so blessed to know some wonderful designers over the years who have all helped to shape my designs.

In July 2010 there was a designer call at Stuff to Scrap. On July 5th I made the huge step and entered. Just 3 days later I had a kit, Retro Bowl, and turned it in. Then 5 nerve racking days later I got the email – I had been offered a spot! After a few QC fixes and much nail biting, I uploaded Retro Bowl July 27th. And that’s where this crazy ride began.

I stayed with Stuff to Scrap until she closed her doors at the end of September 2013. I briefly found a place that took me in with open arms, but when I saw that Scraps N Pieces was accepting new designers I knew that I had to try and now you can find my designs exclusively at Scraps N Pieces. The designers there are all wonderful ladies with amazing talents and even bigger hearts. I am so lucky to have a home there with them.
